Business Development Manager

Job Description

Orca Pacific is a tech-enabled, full-service agency with a focus on Amazon. We are looking for a driven and client-focused Business Manager who can make a positive impact on our team and business.

This person needs to be a strategic thinker who demonstrates a high degree of ownership, a strong work ethic, and intellectual flexibility. The Business Development Manager’s primary responsibility is to bring in new clients and logos to Orca Pacific. This will be through incoming leads generated by our marketing team, partners and some outbound activities. Eventually we will attend events or trade shows and your participation here will be required to initiate conversations with potential clients. This person must collaborate with our sales and marketing team as well as our delivery team to ensure each lead is provided the level of information, strategy and expertise to properly evaluate working with Orca Pacific. We are looking for candidates that have a strong background in sales, account management and service and have experience with eCommerce and Amazon.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead interface via email, phone, video calls and eventually in person meetings
  • Build / Manage / Maintain excellent relationships and timely communication with leads as they evaluate our services
  • Problem solving for issues or situations that leads are facing and being able to quickly provide solutions that our team can implement to build confidence with leads
  • Managing your sales pipeline and CRM for each of your leads and opportunities and keeping your reporting up to date
  • Working with the marketing team to develop any customized decks that leads might request or require
  • Providing strategy and best practices on Amazon and in eCommerce while interfacing with leads
  • Coordination with leadership and delivery teams within Orca Pacific
  • Negotiate agreement terms and build out contracts fitting the scope of the engagement
  • Perform audits of lead’s Amazon business and provide demos of our proprietary OPNav dashboard as needed
  • Onboard new clients by setting up the account and passing them off to the delivery team

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, CRMs and preferably Dynamics or Salesforce and Google Slides
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong attention to detail
  • Proven track record in sales and leading client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to present to and earn the trust of Sr. Leaders
  • A strong client service mindset
  • Must be comfortable with change and ambiguity
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage many ongoing engagements at once
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivation with the ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Team player
  • Ability to assume responsibility and work independently with little or no supervision
  • Adept at learning new software programs and tools
